Retreats at Le Domaine de l’Océan

A concept under study and development

Come back
to yourself.

A body in motion.
A mind at ease.
Time for what matters.

WOMEN ONLY · MEN ONLY

We are exploring women-only and men-only retreats at selected times of the year, to reconnect with a rhythm that feels good.

Small groups envisaged. Separate sessions.
A shared wish to reconnect with ourselves.

One facet of the Domaine

Dedicated moments,
throughout the year.

Le Domaine de l’Océan is conceived as a guesthouse centred on nature, tranquillity and shared moments. Retreats would be an occasional experience at selected times of the year, alongside stays with family and friends and the other experiences envisaged at the Domaine. Their schedule remains under study.

01 / Our intention

When everything moves fast,
choose to slow down.

Between responsibilities, constant demands and busy days, we can lose sight of ourselves. We are imagining a pause to reconnect with the body, make room in the mind and listen to what truly matters.

The ocean and nature would provide the setting. At the heart of the stay: an experience connecting movement, recovery, food and inner life, with presence, simplicity and respect for each person’s pace.

Make time for yourself here.
To care for yourself more thoughtfully afterwards.

A gaze upon creation

Contemplate.
Wonder.
Give thanks.

The horizon, the trees, the changing light: familiar presences to which we wish to give our full attention again. Walking, observing and allowing gratitude to grow.

تفكّر Tafakkur · contemplative reflection

A Quranic invitation to contemplate
إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لَآيَاتٍ لِأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ

“… in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day …”

Quran · Āl ‘Imrān · 3:190

Translation of the meaning of an excerpt.

The verse speaks of signs in creation for those who reflect. Our invitation is to welcome this time of contemplation with attention and humility.

02 / Two formats under study

Among women.
Among men.

Two separate formats are being explored for occasional sessions throughout the year. Both would share the same attention to well-being, privacy and the freedom to be yourself.

Women Only

Time among women.
A space of your own.

Step away from everyday life, move at your own pace and reconnect in a women-only group. Make room for rest, chosen conversations and renewed care for yourself.

Men Only

Time among men.
A fresh impulse.

Take a step back, bring the body into motion and share a pause in a men-only group. Rediscover a balance between effort, rest and what brings meaning.

The concept is under development and study. Separate sessions for women or men are envisaged at dedicated times of the year. Programmes, duration, facilitators and dates remain to be defined. Registration and bookings are not open.

03 / A holistic approach

Care for the body.
Make room for the mind.

01

Move with care.

Brisk walking, strength, mobility and outdoor activities: progressive exercise with intensity adapted to the group. Rediscover the pleasure of effort and the desire to keep going.

02

Make time for recovery.

Periods of rest, gentle stretching, breathing exercises and calmer evenings. Recovery is an integral part of the experience, just as movement is.

03

Eat with attention.

Simple seasonal cooking, the pleasure of shared meals and workshops on eating habits. Accessible ideas for a more thoughtful relationship with food.

04

Reconnect inwardly.

Silence, contemplation, meditation, prayer or personal writing: the spiritual dimension leaves everyone free to experience this time according to their beliefs. Space to reflect on priorities and reconnect with meaning.

04 / A day we are imagining

A day to
be fully present.

Alternate energy and rest, time together and time alone. This is an initial programme idea for both formats, to be adapted to each group.

WOMEN ONLY · AMONG WOMEN

A rhythm with room to breathe.
A place for yourself.

Begin gently

Wake up.
Breathe. Listen.

An unhurried start, a moment of silence or personal spiritual practice, followed by gentle movement.

  • Silence, contemplation or personal prayer
  • Mobility and breathing
  • Breakfast together

An illustrative day being explored as part of the study: content, timings and supervision are not confirmed. Shared activities would be optional, with personal space preserved.

05 / What stays with you

The stay ends.
Care for yourself continues.

Our intention is for this pause to open a lasting path in everyday life, through chosen habits that are realistic and compatible with your life.

  • A way of moving you look forward to returning to.
  • More conscious attention to rest and meals.
  • Time set aside for inner life.
  • A few personal commitments that are easy to put into practice.

06 / A setting built on trust

Feel free.
Feel you belong.

We imagine a setting attentive to each person: small groups, respect for privacy and freedom to take part in conversations.

Programmes, facilitators and practical arrangements remain to be defined as part of the study. These are the intentions guiding our thinking.

Have an idea to share?
Are the retreats mixed?

Two separate formats are envisaged: Women Only, for women, and Men Only, for men. They would take place at dedicated times of the year. Teams, dates and practical arrangements remain under study.

Do I need to be physically fit already?

We are exploring progressive activities with different intensity levels. Programmes and participation requirements remain to be defined. The examples shown give an idea of the experience we are imagining.

What place does spirituality have?

Inner life would be part of the experience, with respect for everyone’s beliefs. Moments of silence, contemplation, personal prayer or reflection could be offered. Each person would be free to participate in their own way, with no imposed practice.

Is this a medical or therapeutic stay?

This is a well-being and movement concept, with no promise of healing or weight loss. It would not replace medical care or follow-up. Activities would need to be assessed for suitability to each person’s circumstances.

Will the Domaine be devoted only to retreats?

The retreats would complement the wider guesthouse project, alongside stays with family and friends and other Domaine experiences. They would take place at selected times of the year, on a schedule that remains under study.

Can I book a retreat already?

The concept is under development and study. Bookings and pre-registration are not open. No launch date has been announced. You can write to us to share your ideas and expectations; this exchange does not constitute a booking.
